It’s probably happened to everyone that when you’ve driven in rainy, humid weather, the windshield starts to get covered in a disgusting, greasy layer on the inside. No matter how much you wipe it off or heat it, it won’t go away, and even if you manage to remove it, it’s back in two days. No matter how much you buy expensive sprays or special wipes, they don’t help and it comes back again and again.
Then one day something happened that I admit I never would have thought of! This incident changed all of that! When I left for work, I was already nervous that I would have to deal with this phenomenon again, even though I was in a hurry… However, when I got in and looked at the glass, it was completely clear. I couldn’t believe it, I wondered what could have happened to it? After the initial surprise, I realized that yesterday I had brought home my colleague who had forgotten his pack of cigarettes on the dashboard.
I then started searching the Internet to see if there was a connection between cigarettes and this phenomenon. I came across a surprising result: this method had been used a long time ago by Soviet truck drivers. And the solution was to be found in the nicotine in tobacco!
The description revealed that nicotine is a natural fat-dissolving substance that can break down the sticky, greasy layer that is made up of the evaporation of plastics, dust, and microparticles of exhaust gas.
Its effect is phenomenal, because:
it completely removes the greasy film
and also effectively prevents condensation
and repels dust, so it has an antistatic effect.
We show you how to use it and what you need:

1 cigarette tobacco (without filter)
a glass of warm water
2 microfiber cloths or filters
1. Soak the tobacco: tear apart the cigarette, sprinkle the tobacco into the water, stir, and wait 10–15 minutes.
2. Filter it: it is very important that the tobacco piece does not remain in it, because it can scratch the glass.
3. Wipe the windshield: dip one cloth in the solution and wipe the entire inner surface.

4. Polish the surface: wipe with the other, dry cloth until it is mirror-smooth.
Important!
However, this method cannot be used on glass surfaces that have been laminated from the inside, because it can damage the adhesive layer!
