Bleach stains on colored clothes are a common and annoying problem. Sometimes a colored item accidentally falls among the whites, or a stain forms during the wash.
In both cases, we almost always end up throwing away the stained item, thinking it’s irreparable. Or we use fabric dye, but the result will never be as good as the original.
Bleach is a very strong-smelling substance that releases irritating gases that are harmful to your health. Contact with skin is also very dangerous.
In this article, we’ll give you two simple tricks to make bleach-stained colored clothes look beautiful again.
First trick
Mix 250 ml of room temperature water with a tablespoon of sodium thiosulfate until completely dissolved.
Pour the solution directly onto the bleach stain and let it sit for a few minutes. Then wash the garment with cold water. Do not rub.
Second trick
Mix equal parts rubbing alcohol and white vinegar. Dampen a cloth with the solution and gently dab the stain, but don’t rub.
Wash the garment with cold water and repeat the process if necessary until the stain is completely removed.
As you can see, it’s possible to restore a garment with bleach stains. You simply need to apply one of the two tricks described above
